Rwanda to me is a land rich, rich in culture, rich in people, rich in fertile soil. One of the first things I realized was that Rwanda grew just about everything that Florida could. Tropical fruits and vegetables abounded. I dubbed Rwanda, Florida with hills, I got a lot of laughs from the locals.
Rwanda is a country that is dear to my heart. I learned much, loved more, and laughed more than my fair share. Everywhere I went, it felt like home. The warmth of smiles and love all around make this a country to visit for sure.
If you like wildlife and agriculture, Rwanda is a great place to go. The Akagera National Park is a pristine wildlife preserve (see the pictures in the slider above).
I realized I told too much in the earlier pages of this project. My personal reflections page turned into more a quick wrap up and further resources page. If any of you should have comments or would like to discuss further please feel free to contact me.

Books to read:
'Hotel Rwanda' by Paul Rusesabagina, also watching the movie will give you more insight. But remember the hotel itself is near downtown in the capital city, not the countryside, like the movie suggests.
‘Shake Hands with the Devil’ By Lieutenant General Romeo Daillaire
'We Wish to Inform You That Tomorrow We Will be Killed with Our Families' by Philip Gourevitch
